What is Carbon Habitat?
Carbon Habitat is our company and connected-home experience. Previously known as Setup My House, we bring supported home systems together. Habitat is our phone and tablet app for rooms, scenes and everyday controls.
Can you work with an existing home?
Yes. We start by reviewing the equipment you already have and your priorities. Compatibility, wiring and installation requirements determine what can be integrated and what may need updating.
Are these demos controlling a real home?
No. The interactive controls on this website are simulations. The interface images use demonstration data, and architectural imagery is illustrative rather than a record of customer installations.
Where do you work, and what equipment can you integrate?
We serve the Bay Area. We assess the lighting, shades, heating and cooling, security, audio and networking equipment already in your home. Supported models and capabilities are confirmed in your proposal; compatibility is checked before installation.
What happens after installation?
Your handover includes orientation and system documentation. Your proposal defines the ongoing support, maintenance, subscriptions and remote access services included or available for your home.
How is a project priced?
Every project receives a tailored written estimate. Equipment, subscriptions, specialist work and ongoing support are defined in the scope rather than assumed to be included.
